1. PURPOSE AND SCOPE
MSN operates a discreet, adults-only entertainment platform. Reliable age and identity assurance helps protect young people, reduces fraud and impersonation, and supports safer creator and fan interactions.
This Policy describes, at a high level, when we may require verification, which categories of checks we use, how we limit and retain verification data, how you can appeal a decision, and how we approach applicable Australian regulatory expectations—including materials published by the eSafety Commissioner—without waiving legal defences or creating unintended third-party rights.
Nothing in this Policy overrides mandatory provisions of the Australian Consumer Law or other non-excludable rights. If this Policy conflicts with in-product notices or checkout terms for a specific feature, the more specific notice applies to that feature.
2. VERIFICATION METHODS
Depending on your role, jurisdiction, risk signals, and product surface, we may use one or more of the following, alone or in combination, through qualified service providers bound by contract and technical safeguards:
Photo ID — Government-issued identity document verification. You may be asked to capture or upload images of an eligible identity document (for example, a passport or driver licence) so that our vendor can confirm authenticity, extract date of birth where permitted, and perform fraud and tamper checks consistent with the vendor’s certification and our instructions.
Biometric scans — Liveness and biometric identity checks as used by the platform’s provider. This may include passive or active liveness detection, facial geometry or template comparison between a live capture and your ID portrait, and related signals designed to detect presentation attacks, deepfakes, or scripted abuse. Biometric processing occurs only where the product flow and applicable law allow, and is performed by vendors we select for security and compliance rigour.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted verification success on every device or in every lighting condition. If a check fails for technical reasons, we will usually offer a limited number of retries or an alternate path where product and law permit.
3. MINIMUM AGE AND ELIGIBILITY
You must be at least eighteen (18) years old, or the age of majority in your place of residence if that age is higher, to register for MSN, purchase paid features, appear as a verified creator, or access adults-only experiences.
We may refuse registration, delay payouts, or suspend access where verification is incomplete, inconsistent with other account signals, or suggests circumvention of age controls. Creators and fans must not assist minors in accessing adults-only areas or in misrepresenting age.
4. DATA MINIMIZATION AND VENDOR PROCESSING
We apply a data-minimization approach to age and identity assurance: we collect and retain only what is reasonably necessary to meet our legal, safety, and payment-integrity obligations, and we instruct vendors to process personal information—including sensitive or biometric information where applicable—only for defined verification, fraud-prevention, and audit purposes.
Where possible, we prefer outcomes (for example, a pass/fail age gate or a verified-creator flag) over long-term storage of raw document imagery. Vendors may retain limited artefacts for fraud modelling, dispute resolution, or regulatory evidence under their own retention schedules; those schedules are constrained by our agreements and this Policy where we control the relationship.
Biometric and ID checks are not used for unrelated marketing profiling unless a separate, lawful basis and clear notice apply.
5. RETENTION, SECURITY, AND AUDIT
Verification artefacts may be retained for a period reasonably necessary to satisfy accounting, tax, anti-fraud, child-safety, and law-enforcement cooperation obligations, and to defend against disputes or chargebacks. Retention periods vary by data category; billing and payout records may be kept longer than transient session telemetry.
We implement administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect verification data in transit and at rest, including encryption, access controls, and vendor due diligence. No system is perfectly secure; you should avoid uploading documents in unsafe environments or sharing OTPs or capture links with third parties.
6. APPEALS AND HUMAN REVIEW
Automated or vendor-assisted decisions can be wrong—for example, poor image quality, name transliteration differences, or outdated issuing records. If you believe a verification outcome is incorrect, you may contact Support with a concise description and any reference identifiers shown in-product.
Where safety and anti-fraud constraints allow, we may offer a human review, an alternate vendor path, or additional document types. We are not obliged to disclose proprietary fraud signals or vendor thresholds that would facilitate abuse.
7. LAW, REGULATORY EXPECTATIONS, AND COOPERATION
Australian online safety and privacy regimes continue to evolve. MSN monitors legislative and regulatory developments—including expectations communicated by the Office of the eSafety Commissioner in 2026 and beyond—concerning age assurance, child sexual exploitation material, image-based abuse, and transparency for adults-only services.
We do not warrant that any particular verification stack satisfies every future statutory or regulatory requirement; we calibrate controls in light of published guidance, proportionality, user experience, and technical feasibility, and we update this Policy and product flows when material changes occur.
We cooperate with lawful requests from competent authorities, including eSafety notices where applicable, and may preserve or disclose information when required or permitted by law, subject to review and jurisdictional rules.
8. CREATORS, DEPICTED PERSONS, AND FANS
Creators must complete verification before receiving payouts or accessing tools that distribute adults-only content at scale. We may require attestations about depicted persons, rights, and consent where product and law require; creators remain responsible for the accuracy of those attestations.
Fans must not share credentials, payment instruments, or verification captures with others, and must not attempt to spoof or bypass checks. Serious breaches may result in permanent suspension and referral to authorities where appropriate.
9. RELATED POLICIES AND CONTACT
Read this Policy together with our Privacy Policy (collection, use, and disclosure of personal information), Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy, Community Guidelines, and Creator and Fan Agreement where applicable.
